TUKWILA, Wash. - Alaska USA FCU in Anchorage has joined Prime Alliance Solutions and become the CUSO's 60th member. Alaska USA and its subsidiary Alaska USA Mortgage Company, will use Prime Alliance's VA module as a model for development of a similar solution for FHA and Alaska Housing Finance Corp. loans. "Throughout the 1990s, Alaska had the highest percentage of homeownership of any state, thanks in part to the Alaska Housing programs," said Lorran Skinner, chief lending officer for Alaska USA FCU and president of Alaska USA Mortgage Company. "Over the past five years, these loans made up as much as 35% of the market. We are looking forward to working with Prime Alliance to streamline access to these programs for borrowers." Prime Alliance Solutions serves 61 credit unions, 31 of which are top 100 credit union mortgage lenders. It also serves CUSOs that represent about 600 CUs throughout the U.S. Alaska USA FCU has $2.3 billion in assets, making it one of the top 10 federal credit unions in the U.S. It serves more than 247,000 members worldwide.
