MADISON, Wis. - A silent auction held at a CUES gathering raised nearly $4,500 for the Children's Miracle Network. The auction was held at the recent CUES Expo 2003 and CUES Marketing, Operations and Technology conference. The auction featured items donated by member firms of the CUES Financial Suppliers Forum exhibiting at the conference and attendees did the bidding. "The hard work and dedication displayed by America's credit unions and their industry associations speaks volumes about the philosophy of the movement. Children's Miracle Network is grateful for the significant support we received from CUES and FSF," said Riley Smith, director of the credit union development for the Children's Miracle Network in Salt Lake City Fred Johnson, CUES' president/CEO, credited the FSF Advisory Committee for coming up with the idea last year and carrying it on this year. "Thanks to a matching donation from Oak Tree Business Systems (Big Bear Lake, Calif.), a committed FSF member, we almost doubled the amount raised last year," Johnson added.
