KENTWOOD, Mich. - CU*Answers said it will be adding non-member teller services and non-return checking programs to its flagship software product - CU*Base. The core-processing CUSO formerly known as WESCO says its non-member teller services will be a standard feature offering check cashing and other over-the-counter services to non-members, and is currently meeting with several credit unions on their plans to open check-cashing facilities. Meanwhile, CU*BASE now supports courtesy pay, or non-return checking programs, as a standard feature of its back-office platform. Features include the ability to individually and batch manage member relationships for negative balance clearing levels, member notices, collections and negative account balance tracking, and revenue collection. CU*Answers is owned by 56 credit unions and provides services to 125.
