MADISON, Wis. - The National Youth Involvement Board is shining the spotlight on credit union youth during its Annual Conference here on August 6-9. The conference will promote effective ways for credit union volunteers to teach young people to manage their money wisely. Everything from marketing ideas and classroom presentation tips, to special youth/teen financial products, and market research will be explored. This year's topics include the following: *The Power of 7 Secrets of Learning-Teach More in Less Time with Greater Memory by Dr. Lawrence Martel, Ph.D, National Academy of Integrative Learning, Inc.; *Go to the Head of the Class with a Student Loan Program by John Gary, CUNA and Affiliates; *Reach for the Stars in Youth and Young Adult Marketing by Michael Millis, Soulstice Training; *Knock-Your-Socks-Off Creativity and Innovation with CUNA's CPD by Tom Decker, CUNA & Affiliates; and *Student-Run Credit Unions: Perspectives From the Students Themselves In addition, conference break out sessions will cover such topics as How to convince the board and management to involve youth and Developing a business development model for youth programs.
