MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - Digital Federal Credit Union members now have access to a newly formed agency, DCU Financial Insurance Services. DCU has hired Springfield, Massachusetts-based Bank Insurance Service to provide turnkey insurance agency solutions to its subsidiary DCU Financial. "This is a significant partnership for DCU Financial," said Ed Crisci, managing director of the new agency. "Our partnership with BIS allows us to offer an insurance agency solution that will strengthen member retention by further expanding our one-stop financial services experience." The agency will be operated out of the BIS operations center and will feature a full range of personal and commercial lines of insurance. BIS will manage all of the business and operational risk for DCU. DCU has $1.5 billion in assets and serves over 175,000 members.
