WASHINGTON - The National Credit Union Foundation has launched a new site on the World Wide Web at www.ncuf.coop. The new site will promote the Foundation and help donors and grantees get information they need, the Foundation said. A Madison-based Web technology cooperative developed the site. It provides information on grants, programming, fundraising, and other initiatives, including materials for the popular "Plan it. Save 4 it." campaign, as well as Foundation history and news. A substantial resource section provides links to state credit union foundations, private and public foundations, system affiliates, government agencies, financial intermediaries, and policy/advocacy groups. "The Foundation has made great strides in recent years, and we knew we needed to enhance our Web presence to continue moving forward," says Gary Officer, NCUF executive director. "Our new site is a tremendous resource for credit unions, leagues, and others looking for grant funding and assistance with development initiatives." As a way to honor Dick Johnson, former CEO of WesCorp, on his retirement, U.S Central funded the project, which began in May of this year. Johnson was last year's recipient of the Foundation's Herb Wegner Lifetime Achievement Award.
