COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Representative Sylvester Patton, Jr. (D-Youngstown) was sworn in Aug. 28 as the newest board member of State Employees Credit Union. To the Ohio Credit Union League's knowledge, Patton is the first sitting member of the Ohio General Assembly to ever serve as a credit union director. OCUL COO John Florian said Patton "already has his sleeves rolled up and is ready to get to work. This is the best example yet of credit unions building relationships with legislators."
