DIEBOLD introduces new ATM platform

ARLINGTON, Va. - Diebold Inc., a major ATM provider, has released a software platform that will allow financial institutions to give their customers a familiar ATM experience even if they use a variety of different ATM machines. The Agilis Power service means consumers will have a consistent user experience every time they access their financial institution. Agilis Power also will reduce the operating costs of running a multi-vendor network, Diebold said. The firm used Microsoft Windows and .NET Framework Technology to link common software components across multiple systems for consistency of design and easy implementation. Agilis Power is built on INvolve middleware platform from Nexus and provides an open architecture that uses industry-standard technology, the company said. "This solution will help maintain the integrity of the user experience, regardless of the channel the consumer selects," said Danny O'Brien, senior vice president of global product development and engineering for Diebold. With expanded services and direct marketing, credit unions and other financial institutions could increase revenue potential maximize their customer relationship management strategies, he added.
