<p>Cabrillo Credit Union, San Diego, Calif., has helped member Yolanda France see gold. France is the winner of Cabrillo's Great Gold Giveaway contest and walked away with $100 in gold dollar coins. This contest was promoted in the credit union's first quarter newsletter and included an entry form, which the member had to complete and send to the credit union. France's name was randomly selected from over 350 entries. France has been a Cabrillo member since 1998. USA Federal Credit Union, San Diego, has recently donated a total of $8,500 to three Las Vegas charities. USAFCU sponsored the Mark and Mercedes Survivor 3 Series on radio station Mix 94.1 - the number one listened to station in Las Vegas. Contestants of the series each selected a favorite charity that would receive a monetary donation from USAFCU if they won 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in the contest. Make-A-Wish Foundation received $5,000, Golden Rainbow received a donation of $2,500, and the City of Hope was presented with a check for $1,000 from USA Federal Credit Union. USA Federal Credit Union, Troy, Mich., has collected 266 pounds of food to benefit the Food Bank of Oakland County. The food bank of Oakland County secures, stores, and distributes food to over 197 agencies that in turn distribute food to over 73,000 people each month. USA Federal Credit Union, San Diego, has raised $2,000 during the Sixth Annual Jackie Robinson Family YMCA. The event honors sports heroes and student achievement. The Jackie Robinson Family YMCA serves as a resource and positive alternative for southeast San Diego families and youth. Central Florida Educators Federal Credit Union, Orlando, has donated $15,215 to the New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund. While the credit union donated an initial $5,000, generous contributions from employees and members resulted in over $10,000 collected. In addition, CFEFCU has become the primary sponsor for the Orange County Regional History Center's latest exhibit named Follow that dream: Florida's Rock & Roll Legends. As part of the business/educational relationship between CFEFCU and the History Center, credit union members receive a 25% discount on all educational programs and 15% on various Historical Society memberships.</p>
