AURORA, Colo. - Gateway Credit Union, which already has one of the state's largest community charters, has applied to the Division of Financial Services for permission to expand its charter to include persons "who reside in portions of zip codes 80015 and 80016, Arapahoe County, Colorado." The estimated number of persons living in these zip codes who are not already included in Gateway's field-of-membership is approximately 30,000. Gateway's field-of-membership already includes the 275,000 residents of Aurora county. Gateway has about $138 million in assets and more than 24,000 members. A public hearing will be held on the application on Aug. 4.
