CyberBills, edocs align

SANTA CLARA, Calif. and NATICK, Mass. - CyberBills and edocs today announced a marketing agreement. It will enable bill and statement issuers to leverage edocs BillDirect Internet billing and customer management software to deliver bills, statements, and other customer account data to CyberBills customers. CyberBill's flagship product allows consumers to view, manage, pay and automate all of their bills online, whether the bills are in paper or electronic format. edocs Net-enables bills and statements for large bill and statement issuers in the telecom, utility, financial service, insurance and credit card industries. While the deal doesn't have a direct impact on credit unions, it is a sign of the times of vendors partnering up to try and corner the electronic bill payment/presentment market. Many analysts predict that EBPP will catch on rapidly in the next few years because companies are attracted to the cost savings of not having to print bills and statements and then mail them. -
