MALVERN, Pa. - Credit union data processor AFTECH, a Fiserv subsidiary, said it has been selected by NCUA to provide data processing services for the regulator's Asset Liquidation Management Center in Austin, Texas. The Austin-based unit manages the assets of credit unions that have failed, been placed in conservatorship or otherwise cease to function as credit unions. AFTECH President Joe Sermarini, said the NCUA installation is very different than most AFTECH installations. "Most of our clients are very retail-oriented, with a high level of transactions. There will be relatively few transactions in relation to assets at the ALMC's operation," said Sermarini. AFTECH is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. -pgentile@cutimes.com
